Accounts Receivable Representative 1

Accounts Receivable Representatives are responsible for receiving customer payments and ensuring their accurate application to customer accounts.

  • Open mail and batch payments received
  • Review scanned images and edit for accuracy
  • Research payments received without remittances
  • Research unapplied cash
  • Prepare cash and checks for bank deposit.
  • Post payments from credit card payments and payments received at outlying locations
  • Respond to inquiries from customer service representatives regarding payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent math and data entry skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, independently and as a team
  • Ability to commit to a regular work schedule with excellent attendance
  • Good technical skills, particularly with Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to react well under pressure and treat others with respect
  • Professional demeanor and telephone etiquette
  • General knowledge of office functions
  • Ability to work occasional overtime, weekends, and/or holidays

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to produce satisfactory pre-employment drug test and background check results

  • Office environment
  • Prolonged sitting and repetitive motions while working on the computer
