Administrative Assistant - Landfill

The Administrative Assistant, under general supervision, performs a variety of complex, responsible, and specialized administrative and office support functions. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to multi-task throughout the day. It requires consistent interaction with drivers, as well as various management team members. In addition, the main goal is to ensure accuracy in all clerical functions and communication.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Perform job duties in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain excellent and accurate records and files.
  • Create and maintain database and spreadsheet files.
  • Enter daily tracking sheets.
  • Enter parts and labor for Annex and RSL Garage.
  • Post PM services for trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Assist with weekly cycle counts and inventory auditing.
  • Assist with monthly close.
  • Process invoices and purchase orders.
  • Assist foreman and managers.
  • Answer telephone, filing and mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Must have experience working with SAP and UltiPro.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Professional demeanor and telephone etiquette.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining accurate records for all areas of the position.
  • Must be willing and capable of learning additional Rumpke systems/operations and able to fill in for other office personnel when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Office and/or maintenance shop environment.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, dust and fumes as found in a repair facility.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling and climbing).
