Digital Inside Sales Specialist

The ideal candidate for this full-time position is a go-getter, with inbound digital sales and marketing experience, who can proactively execute Rumpke’s strategy for nurturing internet leads through the sales pipeline via various forms of communication.

This professional will respond immediately to incoming digital inquiries through phone and email, following up as necessary to close the sale. The employee will also be required to document and maintain record of all relevant lead tracking information within Rumpke’s customer relationship management software.

The position will be based at Rumpke’s Columbus, OH office and report to Rumpke’s Inside Sales Manager.

  • Follow up with inbound web inquiries, ensuring minimum lead response time.
  • Provide potential customers with necessary pricing, service, and scheduling information.
  • Move leads through the sales pipeline via email, phone, and company software.
  • Organize contacts and tasks within Rumpke’s CRM system for efficient prospect follow up.
  • Draft persuasive customer communications to increase response rates and closing percentages.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Dependable team-player with ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
  • Willingness to follow all department and company rules, procedures, and instructions.
  • Ability to suggest and implement ideas or programs to increase efficiency and/or assure effective communications to target audiences.

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Minimum one year of sales or customer service experience.
  • Minimum one year of persuasive writing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Digital sales or marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience with customer relationship management software preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug testing.
