RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
- Perform tasks in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Audits Driver Logs and Daily Vehicle Inspections Reports (DVIR’s).
- Writes up driver incidents/accidents for vehicle operations or OII.
- Communicate and coordinate with hauling operations and safety departments.
- Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
- Review daily driver paperwork for trainees and trainers
- Complete interviews with driver trainee applicants and submit for the preemployment process.
- Oversee and complete new hire training. Including classroom, vehicle specific training and state required exams.
- Complete driver observations on a weekly basis.
- Assist supervisors and driver trainers to keep training packets up to date and accurate.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Computer proficiency in Windows, Microsoft applications and UltiPro.
- Must possess excellent customer service and data entry skills.
- General knowledge of office functions.
- Must work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as a team.
- Able to meet deadlines and complete assignments within stated time frames.
- Be able to present and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
- Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Previous experience in the training field and supervising people.
- Must be able to produce satisfactory pre-employment drug test and background check results
